Ironheart/Elio: My Problem with Modern Marketing

Ryan Coogler, the man behind the recent hit "Sinners" and "Black Panther" 1, 2 and the Upcoming 3rd Film, is behind an upcoming MCU show called "Ironheart", a spin-off show of the character Riri Williams as last seen in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" and "What if...?".
It's NOT just yet another hero origin story, as this one involves Riri beginning to try to become her own kind of hero, one that's inspired by both Magic and Iron Man-like Armor, but getting some early training from (literal) devilish characters, making her realize sometimes you gotta make some tough, grey-area choices.
It's got some other good actors in it, and it's gotten some of the coolest recent MCU posters. It also releases on the 24th of This Month, so less than Two Weeks from now.
Did you hear about it? Chances are low you might've. They waited till there was 1 Month until it comes out to actually release the trailer for it, only released it alngside bugger trailers, and aren't doing too much else to advertise it.
Meanwhile, in a separate Disney company, Pixar is releasing a Brand-New, 'Original' Film called "Elio". It's about a boy named Elio who *intentionally* get abducted by aliens to try to be cool and unique, and it actually wirks with him getting captured by some aliens, forcing Elio to hopefully get along with a brand-new, never-seen-before spieces of beings in order to return home.
It looks pretty cute, even if slightly generic-looking at times, and has a good chance at being good.
Sounds cool right? Did you know it was coming? NEXT WEEK, even??? It's looking like it'll probably not do too well at the Box Office, and that's probably because it's BARELY getting marketed, except kind of on Disney+.
NOT GIVING A FAIR CHANCE
I personally haven't seen a single advert for it in a casual way, and I'm all about this movie stuff and so are my algorithms.
Why aren't they getting more attention? Why aren't they getting a slightly-bigger, fairer chance to shine on their own yet? They both come out This Month, and yet the fandoms for both Marvel & Pixar are the only real ones truly having to advertise this stuff themselves.
Is it cause there's too many other movies and shows out there? Possibly, but I'd argue you ahould maybe actually market every project you're making, because if not then are you actually trying to make money from them? Or even get good quality from them?
MISSING USES?
We constantly hear how the markeying for many movies is in the Hundreds of Millions of Dollars, and that's also the case with Studios like Marvel & Pixar, and yet not much is actually seen from it.
Studios give all this talk about doing original stuff more often cause it's important, and then turn around and don't advertise the currently upcoming ones they're making. Putting all of the advertising in the hands of audiences only is a wild choice, especially for Big Studios like Pixar & Marvel.
It's also what's happening with Independent, Original Films...
ORIGINAL MOVIES GETTING OFTEN IGNORED
Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" came out This Year and was one of the few exceptions of an actual original story being given a good, fair chance with its marketing, and audiences actually standing by their claims of wanting more original stuff made and actually went to see it, spread Wonderful word-of-mouth about the film. It worked out quite well, and it's made Close to $400 Million!
Which good, it's well deserved... but the number of Original, Independent Movies released per year has been the highest it's ever been for a good few years now. Yet... where are y'all then?
"Sinners" was the exception, but SEVERAL films that aren't Big, Blockbuster Events typically are Never a big deal, including the well-reviewed, well-liked ones.
Including Movies like:
"Companion"
Oscars Best-Picture-Winner "Anora"
"Death of a Unicorn"
"Monkey Man"
"Dumb Money"
And Way Too Many More...
50/50
Studios, yes, should make more Original material, but the only reason they typically don't is because of stuff like:
The Live-Action Remakes of "Lilo & Stitch" (and also very likely "How to Train Your Dragon") being Box Office Behemoth(s)/aka one of the Biggest Film(s) of the Year
"A Minecraft Movie" becoming the 2nd Biggest Video Game Adaptation of All Time
Only Big, Crowd-Pleasing Movies like "Deadpool & Wolverine" and "Inside Out 2" being big deals.
Audiences keep usually exclusively giving money to these things instead of giving smaller projects, even including Smaller Non-Original Stuff like the MCU's "Ironheart", a fair chance to actually be a big deal. It's a 50/50 thing:
50% of it is on the Studios, yes, but...
50% of it is also dependent on Audiences actually doing the research themselves, and actually spending more money towards these things way more often.
Some of this hard-work is on us audiences now to have to research and even help advertise these stories on our own a little too much... and that's only because Studios' need to SERIOUSLY improve their Marketing nowadays...
